the 911 is such a clean design. Those big rear wings those racing things really just messes up the clean lines.. Ducktails would be the most i think would do. Just sharing and maybe create discussion....
For a gt3 that was intended for racing at high speeds, i guess they are a neccesity more than anything else. But i take the car on more than 200kph runs and totally stable and confident feel....without the wings!

That's your opinion. Personally I love the looks of the GT2s, GT3s, and aerokit cup cars and would have my 911 no other way.

Yup, I'm with Sean. The 911s really came into their own with the release of the wide body 930 turbos. That's when they got low, wide, and aggressive looking. Cars without front and rear spoilers look too demure for my tastes. The '94 3.6 Turbo is an awesome looking car IMO.

On my RUF 997 I added active aero to their normally fixed in the up position bi-plane wing so it looks a little lower profile parked or driving around town, but then lifts at 77 when there's value in the additional downforce.

On my wife's C2S, we changed out to the active aero rear decklid and spoiler from the TT.

Yeah, this is the biggest wing I'd go with, anything bigger is too much:

To each their own. That's the beauty of these cars. I personally think the rear end looks boring without a wing so I added one. I also added a front lip spoiler as the front looked unfinished and all the really cool 911 variations (turbo, GT3, GT2 cars) all come with wings. Factory Aero kits look amazing and I think a GTS coupe with a wing and spoiler up front is the epitome of 911 perfection.
But then I don't like cabs either

Wings aren't there just for aesthetic purposes, they are functional.

Meh, I like both. Not all wings, but many look good to my eyes.

I'm more focused on the total package of the car and how it all comes together.

I like this look. Do you have an "***" pic from the back? Which wing is this?

Thanks.

I am torn on this subject as I like the classic way my rear spoiler is hidden until 75mph but then there is something very cool about the TechArt Type III wing (see below) that just looks good to me...can't decide if I am going to get the wing or not?

Personal opinion of course but given you have C4S, with wide butt and the strip, I'd leave as-is. Already looks very aggressive from the back.

I know right? Why I like the C4S...but everytime I see one of those wings I just think...hmmm??? Oh and "SpeedyD"...nice C4S yourself

Probably won't do it and if I do would be "way" down the road as any money I put into my C4S would be performance/handling...hope to start doing DE events soon...missing one this weekend at Sebring

I really like the duck tail look. I became a lover of Porsche when I first saw the RS with a ducktail as a kid. I would have one on my 997.2 C4S already if I could keep my reflector strip. I found this photo. The car says Speedart but I can't find the spoiler on their website.

The original wings on the turbo also look good. Especially those on the 993s that seem to melt over the bodywork. But the clean unobstructed flow of the body really seem to catch my eye. I agree with mspeed oem wings are functional but some really are just for aestethic. Makers claim wind tunnel design...not oem not fit on car.
