But I want this:

Think they'll have a US distributor?

Wouldn't it just be easier to put a rear seat into a GT3?

I've watched the video earlier and was thinking to post but changed my mind as I didn't see much value into their so called " custom build ".
They mention it costs 45K/and I assume pounds!!! For that money I can add a 997.1 Turbo and not worry about no backseat in my GT3.

It's no different than sending your car to sharkwerks. Some people go in for that sort of thing. I don't. I just want that gorgeous 2kg carbon fiber duck tail!

I agree,

The ducktail is awesome. Lightweight and you wouldn't have to paint it.

The car itself, they compare it to the GTS. Would much rather buy a GTS

Default I have an RPM CSR and it is awesome to drive

My 2002 996 C2 is running the following weight saving kit, its just amazing to drive, just feels alive and super responsive...
KW v3 coil overs
RS engine mounts
Fuchs 18" alloys
2 piece Girodisc front rotors/discs
RPM Carbon ducktail
GT3 front bumper assembly
Manthley racing silencers
Light weight flywheel and Carrillo con rods (more for performance/reliability rather than actual weight saving)

came across this video again on youtube and did a search and saw was posted here already... just neat to see someone doing more with a 997. but sure given the price of a GTS or well modded 997 or avan a 997 Turbo this seems less the way to travel albeit still neat to see IMO.

anyone find a carbon ducktail for sale here in the states of high quality that doesn't need paint?

Anytime I watch videos like the one posted, I immediately want to go drive my car. Just shows the connection we have with them.

Unfortunately it's 34 out and raining

I have the RPM Technik carbon ducktail on my GTS......but I painted it!

It's a very well made part and a very good fit.

I have the Getty Sport Duck which is pretty light....not as light as CF though. Without knowing the CF cost, mine with paint/install ran $2500 in round numbers. I can't say what the weight difference would be but the Getty is way, way lighter than the stock deck.

So if the CF is say $4000, I would feel the weight difference between it and the Getty can't be that significant....and if you like the CF look (I do, BTW), get it wrapped.
