Default Exhaust for Porsche 2006 911 4S

Looking for an aftermarket exhaust for my 2006 911 4S. Can anybody help? My car does not have the sport exhaust option on it.

Is there something out there similar to the Sport Exhaust package?

What are some of the brands out there? I only one I really know about is Fabspeed but it appears the reviews are mixed on how good their product is.

Is there any danger of installing aftermarket exhaust? Sensor problems on the car, and problems that could happen, anything to really worry about? Don't want install an aftermarket exhaust and then have new problems with the car.

Looking for something I can drive on a daily basis and not melt my ears.

Thanks for the help.

Joe

the factory sport exhaust doesnt really do anything for you except make different sound. If you want to help the performance of the engine you want to have a free flowing exhaust. Less restriction for the air flow. You could have headers, free flowing cats and mufflers and different shape exhaust components. try looking at Agency Power, fabspeed, tubi, etc for different configurations and products. No problems with proven aftermarket components. I like AP the best.

Seems a nice option is the "gundo" hack or the "fister" mod.... look it up.

I just won an auction on ebay for a pair of mufflers modified by fister. I can not wait to install them!!!!

I also have 2006 c4s!!

Thanks guys or gals for advice. I appreciate it. Don't want to offend any lady porsche owners. Btw my wife is all for me getting a meaner sounding exhaust. Go figure. I'm a lucky man.

Well then if all you're looking for is sound, buy the Gundo Hack and call it a day. I went for performance and got a full AWE setup but that's a whole other game...

Save yourself the money and do the Gundo. Best bang for your buck for sound hands down.

lol, yes at $521.00 the auction closed. I am on the East Coast and was sleeping. I would have put money that I would have lost out when I checked back but, I had not!!!

I have not heard from the seller as of yet... So for now I wait.

I'm sure you'll be fine. I'm getting mine from FD sometime next week so you yeah there's a 2 week wait. You have the option of putting back the old one if you want and resale. They sell like hotcakes.

yes I am happy about the purchase, being able to hold onto my take off mufflers leaves me some options.

Really looking forward to this. I have not heard in person that I know of, and imho exhaust notes never sound proper on video.

to the Op: I will take some before and after sound clips and post them in your thread.

I had Fisters on my 996 C4S. They were fantastic and I highly recommend them.

I have Fisters on the 993, and will probably be looking to go that route when I transition to a 997.

I agree. Had Tubi on my -06 C4S and the you tube video posted earlier doesn't do it justice at all.

I frequently leave my house early in the morning, and I'm always worried about waking up the neighbors. I live in a canyon along a river and sound really echos through the canyon. After I sold the C4S and bought the turbo, I had two neighbors come up to me separately and tell me that they missed the sound of my old car. They said they always knew when I was headed out the door early, and they liked it!

I guess I need to upgrade the exhaust on the TT!
