Looks like it is in good shape. 1 owner car, clean DME report. Trying to talk them some down, but they are being stubborn

Maybe you should negotiate a CPO into the price...that's at least $2-3k. I almost bought a car from Princeton but I backed out after finding out there was an accident that they did not disclose until PPI.

FYI: I was able to negotiate a CPO and @2.5k less than their asking.

I thought a 7 year old (or newer) car can be CPO'ed. Let's hope someone can chime in and correct me.

I call BS. Beachwood Porsche CPO'd my 2007 that I bought in May. I believe 7 years is the cutoff, so an '09 should be in range.

2007 is in range. They are not being staright with you and if they don't can't CPO it must have failed some of the inspection items required for CPO. I'd pass and look for another C4S. There are plenty out there. Use Porche USA's CPO finder tool.

it is 8 years and under 100k miles.

I see a lot of posts about people having cars CPOed but I am not sure how, unless the car was serviced at a Porsche dealership, the following can be known, especially with older cars.

"All work has been performed by Porsche trained technicians"
"Only Genuine Porsche parts have been used"

I would think any car that has been maintained by a DIYer would be ineligible.

I've been doing a bit of shopping lately and all the dealers i've spoke to have told me either 7 or 8 years but it has to do with the cars initial service date... so theoretically you could have two cars both from 07 and one may be able to CPO one may not.

I (or they) could be wrong though.

During my search, almost all the cars that were "good deals" had been in an accident or had paint overspray.

That car seems to have all it's maintenance done at Princeton from day 1. Car was sold in March 2007. Dealer had it back in inventory for sale in July 2014. So, probably not eligible for CPO since it's past 7 years old.

That place sure does like their cars. A 2003 996 for $36K? That sounds insane.

This particular 997 looks nice, but it does seem expensive. There are lots of cars out there, move on.
