Default Scam alert: Gateway Imports, Chicago, IL

BEWARE: Gateway Imports out of Chicago, IL is a fraudulent operation.

I'm posting this here because they do advertise some Porsches for sale (and used photos from one of our old listings).

Hopefully this will show up in Google search results to prevent anyone from being taken by them.

Their dealership does not exist.

Off topic is private so google crawlers can't index it.
I'll move this to an open subforum.
What's the model?

I don't think google search makes it to off topic.

Unfortunately no such thing as a three pedal Ferrari anymore... (at least new that is) and I'm afraid Porsche will be like that as well before long.

How does the scam work... collect deposits?

Gateway exists, or at least there is a fancy website and a building with their name on it at the address listed on the website.

Seems their lot is a little low on inventory, though (at least it was a few years ago when google drove by)

According to their website, they now have 27 cars on that little corner lot

Gateway used to exist, at the address for the picture you posted.

The Gateway Imports that is now advertising is using an address down the road a bit, and the same name, to throw people off, and all of their 'inventory' is stolen from other listings and advertised at below market value. Typical scam.

Thanks for the tip off. Sounds like some real scumbags at work there. Sooner or later they'll pick the wrong one to scam and they'll end up in the river.
