GT3 all the way! My brother daily drove his 997.2 GT3 and I had a chance to drive it a lot too in the street. Completely fine by us! Also drove a 997.1 GT3 and is still daily drivable. They both make my Carrera S with Powerkit rather pedestrian… kicking myself over and over for not getting one a few years ago.

Unfortunately, my life is littered with cars I should have purchased. Most painful now was that '75 911 Turbo... original owner, 28K miles, but $5k more than the M3 I purchased some 13+ yrs ago. I don't even want to know what the Turbo would be worth now. Dbl Doh! It even had the original p-dealer Liability Statement. Something towards the affect of ... it's sooo fast you're likely to injure yourself and we're not responsible. Achtung!

Actually you're quite wrong.

I attended an international high school in London, England and we had quite a few extremely wealthy families to include children of the Abdullah royal family of Saudi. Some of these kids did not like to work and couldn't write a paper to save their life. However, their weekly allowance was substantial. That's where I came in. I could write a decent essay, not talented but decent enough to get a B+ with minimal effort. They would pay me roughly 100-200 pounds to write what was usually a five paragraph essay or about 20 pounds to share notes from previous classes. It was fairly lucrative for a student.

Looking back, I probably would not have wanted to see Bedouin's trig answers. Not because I was an exceptional math student, but because I was able to meet the requirements on my own.

You however, I probably would of taken your lunch money.

As everybody would agree 2 completely different machines.

GTS is a very quick car. Honestly it will be a bit better to zip around town, and enjoy twists over the weekends. It delivers a bit more torque at lower rpms. Suspension is more liveable everyday. Electronics are better than the .1 GT3 all day long so comfort creatures make it more attractive.

GT3 is a raw car. It is faster. However it needs more man-handling. You will need to be on the higher rpms to get the most out of it. Will you be doing that all the time? No. Lets face it, besides track and open stretches ( i mean OPEN ) you can not hit 8000+ plus rpms. Especially public roads. Suspension is stiffer. Car is raw all around.

Bottom line, if you would like to enjoy a Porsche ownership all around, GTS will do the job. If you will invest time and money into track days, go with the GT3.

I have a GTS, kinda getting bored with it...although all the points stated are very true. Have u seriously tracked a Porsche? If not, all this might just be in your head and a GTS is a much easier car to live with day to day. Unfortunately, once bitten by the track bug...very hard to go back to a pedestrian P car. GLW your choice. I will trade into either a GT3 or maybe a Turbo S soon...but the GTS is still great car.

Kind of depends on what your daily routine looks like. I drop off and pick up my daughter at pre-school. The 3 mile route is cross town Santa Monica where each way I encounter 8 stop lights, 4 stops signs, and constant bumper to bumper cars. Only took 2 months of that to pick up an around town commuter (Fiat 500e)
