I have a clear bra that's several months old, and picked up a couple of rock chips on the front bumper that have actually penetrated the clear bra. (I'll post pix later.) My car is black, and these show up as white marks that look like rock chips. I really can't see spending the $ for a new install right now.
Has anyone used a sharpie, paint pen or other touch up paint on top of a clear bra in this circumstance? What looks crappier - the white marks, or the dark spots that will undoubtedly result from putting paint over a clear bra.
TIA!

The clear bra did what it's supposed to and took a rock or debris hit that otherwise would have left a larger gouge in the bumper. But, the rock (or whatever) made a couple of small holes in the clear bra where it it , and those show up as white marks around the edges of the holes. The installation was fine, and the product is Xpel, so I really have no beef with the installer.
I decided to try a little touch up paint, and it looks better than the white marks. I can live with that until the clear bra takes some more abuse and needs to be replaced.
