Tried my AirLift tool on a couple different vehicles and couldn't get it to hold vacuum, but based on some entries in this thread, I may not have waited long enough. How long does it take to create the proper vacuum psi, could it really take 20-30 mins? If so, my tool is likely fine and I was just expecting a much faster result. Let me know and thanks for the help.

Should be pretty fast. It took like 5 minutes when I used it on my empty 996 cooling aystem. I used a 20gal air compressor. How big is your air compressor?

Huge. Craftsman 80 gallon 2-stage bolted to the floor capable of 200 psi. So back to thinking there's an issue with my AirLift device since it hasn't worked on either of the 3 cars I've tried it on - 2 997.1s and a GMC Sierra

Thanks for the info.

No way then. Must be something wrong with the device. The device is so simple and there are no moving parts so maybe something is leaking. Have you tried instead of connecting it to a cooling system, just block its sucking port and see if it can pull a vacuum? It should be able to. The device should be very quick and a delight to use. I think it took me less than 10min to vacuum and refill.
