Default Finally received my new to me 997.2!

Hi guys,

Today I finally received my 2010 997 C2S that I purchased about two weeks ago. It took about two weeks for the car to be shipped from the Virginia to California. Minus the PASM Sport Suspension (does this mean I have an LSD?), pretty standard options: NAV, Bose, Bluetooth, Power Comfort Seats, and heated seats.

Upon pickup, I discovered three issues with the vehicle. First, the car has a few door dings and a scuff that either the dealer did not disclose or occurred during transportation. Second, the car is missing the front spoiler under the bumper. I suspect the previous owner may have removed this due to scrapping. Lastly, the car only came with 1 key.

I'm hoping I can get these issues resolved with the shipping company (DAS) and the dealer. Despite these issues, driving my new 997 was awesome! Too bad, I don't currently have a garage for her and am keeping her in storage. Can't wait to take her out for a spin soon and take care of some minor paint chips and scratches!

Cheers,
Dennis

LSD is a separate option, as was Sport Suspension, which included an LSD. Your build sheet or option sticker will tell you exactly what you have. PASM is standard. Use the Sport button!

Replace the XXX at the end with your VIN, and open in your browser. You'll see what options you have.

Congrats and welcome!

Sorry about the minor issues but you'll resolve them soon.

I also purchased mine from VA almost a year ago and decided that the only way she would get to the left coast was if I was driving her.

In retrospect I could have purchased sight unseen, but I suspect that I was looking for an excuse for a long road trip.

Enjoy in the best of health!

Thx. Nice tip. Did it for mine, and it verifies what the dealer provided me.

Congrats! Interesting that you have P17, it was a hard option to find when I looked for my car 2 years ago. P17 really improves the "stance" height.

Now, you should look into the gundo hack + sharkwerks bypass to make the car really sound as it should. And some spacers unless you're getting aftermarket wheels.

So, having the P17 option gives you the LSD. Should have the LSD checked if the car has been tracked. The LSD is notorious for failing from hard use, read track use. Mine in the GT3 went, so had the Guard unit installed (then I sold it, go figure).

Congrats! I have to marvel at folks buying expensive cars over the internet, cross country, sight unseen. I have not got the stones for that, I'll say that much.

Congrats. Clear corners STAT! Look for my wife's 2011 997.2 cab, black on black, with a hot African-American driver, on 280/380/101 to & from SF every day. Cheers and enjoy!
