Need Auto Transport recommendations
Looking to move a BMW on an open carriage/non enclosed carrier (Texas to Florida).
There are a lot of companies that do this, not sure who to select. Any good experiences?

Have you looked outside at the weather nationwide. For the most part it is beautiful so most folks are out for a drive
Okay, So I am in the process of trying to ship a car right now from East to West. I last shipped in 1999. Not much has changed except my knowledge of the business. I searched the rennlist and found the following companies mentioned:
- Intercity lines...probably the best
- JPLogistics
- All American Auto Transport
- Open Roads
- DAS Auto Shipping
As near as I can tell everyone is a broker except for Intercity and JPL. Check this website out http://www.transportreviews.com/ A good place to start to figure out if they are a broker or not. The reviews are all suspect so be careful. It appears that the brokers will post your details here http://www.movecars.com/ with your price, they then get offers and there is about a 30-60 minute window for the broker to get a hold of you and accept or tell them to punt.
Amongst the brokers, it can be competitive as hell as near as I can tell. Almost cut throat amongst the brokers. They are all salesmen. Lots of buyer beware!!!
Good luck and please let me know if you have good luck with someone. I am trying to figure out if my broker is a BS artist or if I am going to have to pay a bit more than planned. Seems like there is a big car show going on. I just need an open carrier.

I suspect that most of those cars are delivered/returned by enclosed carriers and both of us are looking for open carriers (25-40% less expensive).

+1 for Angels Moving Autos. Enclosed transport, constant communication with the driver when he was 40 minutes from arrival in order to pick a good drop off location ( no way a double trailer was going to make it down my street). saved over $350 vs the competition and they delivered 2 days earlier than scheduled.

Angels is Top Notch.
Nothing but a pleasant experience with a group of professionals. At just over 1 hour after my initial contact with them, they were getting a carrier lined up that they do a lot of business with. End of the work day for Angels with 3 customers on the line...no problem, they call you back. No clock punchers at Angels.
Paid one fee to Angels for everything and they took care of it all. The carrier went the extra mile too. Angels will text mail you as things progress towards the load aboard. Once loaded, off the carrier went. Next communication from Angels was a phone call saying they expect the carrier to arrive that day. It did and we got an email with the details.
Car will be picked up on Saturday morning and I don't expect to find any carrier damage.

I won't use anyone but Reliable Carriers any more. Used several over the years and they are the only ones I've been so totally impressed with. The drivers I've dealt with were over and above anything I'd ever expected before. This picture was from Monday and the contents of this carrier was amazing. He was only here to drop a 928 but there was a million or so on board when he pulled up.
