Big stripes look too drastic for me. I put red pinstripe running over the top of the car, some like it some dont, guess its a personal choice thing really.

See the third link in post #7 in this thread. White (or silver) decal on a black car.

If I were adding decals, Kyle would be making them. I've been watching his stunning work for years.

Fortunately, it is fairly easy to reverse so try it and see for yourself.

When I bought Moby he had "Carrera S" decals. I wasn't sure I liked them, and they were removed when the dealer replaced the stone guards. When I saw Moby without decals he just didn't look right. The side profile looked way too plain. I think if the sills were black like on a 4S, the side profile would look better. So, I put the decals back on and have been happy with the result ever since.

Opinions are definitely polarized on this. Some love 'em. Some hate 'em. Each to their own. Thank dog we don't all drive cars that look identical! I love the way you can make the distinctive 911 shape look so different.

Here's Moby on vacation:

A while ago some posted a picture of a black car with white decals and I think that looked absolutely amazing.

"If you have to ask". What I mean is that I am not a decal person, so no amount of other people's opinions would change my mind. I'm sure that people who like decals could not care less about the opinions of people that do not like them. The fact that you are asking tells me that you are not really committed to the idea of decals so you should probably pass.

Generally, graphics like those being discussed are not found on high-end cars (operative word: Generally).

Porsche has rolled them out of the factory as such though, so such graphics are appropriate as a tribute or to take advantage of features found on some models (old Carrerra-style logos and modern GT3-inspired logos).

So, the action of adding graphics is buffered by what the factory does... but when all is said and done, it comes down to what you like.

I like the diversity. I don't like the stripes/graphics enough to indulge, but I like seeing different flavors out there.

Is there a prize for most erudite post (just to be clear I'm not being sarcastic)?
