Default Aftermarket brake wear sensor?

Instead of paying $70 for porsche sensor does anyone know about the aftermarket sensors and if they work/fit?

Thanks,
Sid

Buy your OE Porsche sensors from Sunset Porsche for about $38 set.

wow that's cheaper than suncoast who wants $70.

It looks like a basic sensor and i see a lot of them at autozone and online... but $38 is a good price.

Maybe I'm wrong then. Sunset and Suncoast have pretty similar pricing and biz model, about 15% over costs.

I thought they were about $36-38 per set of 2 sensors.

I re-use the sensors when I change pads, but when one breaks I use the $8-$10 ones made by Sebro or Ate. The principle of operation on these is so simple that I can't see paying more for or the OEM sensors.

funny story... i took off the wrong pads and chipped the clip of the sensor. he still fits in there but i want to clean him up. thanks for the heads up. the pictures look just like the stock one and i didn't want to have to pay $70 for a pair when autozone has it for only $20 for one. I saw online has them for $14 but there were so many different part numbers...

Mine are tie-wrapped up against the strut tower, off the brake pad, effectively disabling the sensors. I don't really need a sensor to tell me its time to change the brakes. There is plenty of room to visually inspect the brake pads with the wheel on car.
