how about the small dark silver sticker at bottom of driver's door kind of where you set your left hand to get into the car, color is usually printed there along with the code of the color...

I've never noticed that before, but my color code and name are printed real small along the edge of the black tire pressure sticker in the driver's door jamb.

djskimo, did you find your color on any of these stickers?

I'll state the obvious and say that if you can post a picture we can probably tell you the color of your car.

Here's a twist on the theme, I know the color of my car - Arctic Silver Metallic, paint code L92U AT. I am trying to figure out if I have the right color touch paint; it's labeled "Silber met M7Z 911 095 933 20 M7Z" I previously had a GT Silver Boxster and I am trying to figure out if this touch paint is from the old or current car. Any suggestions?
Thanks

Quick search turned up the following:

https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...gt-silver.html

Looks like the paint is from your Boxster.

Good find David, thank you. I searched "paint code" but didn't come across this one.

For over a year, I always thought it was "meteor grey" but I just realized this is an assumption. Might be a different shade. I looked through all the paperwork I can find from the purchase, and the color is not mentioned. I tried decoding the VIN but it doesn't seem like the color is in there.

Any tips?

Funny but I asked a 911 turbo owner if his car was GT Silver Metallic and he had no idea. It was driving me nuts.

Can anyone confirm this? I know the factory stopped putting it under the hood, perhaps with the .2's. But I've never seen this info verified. And for the record, [ edit] my sticker is in the maintenance booklet. I bought it as cpo.

I've heard the same story, but dealers were not consistent. My 997.2 has the option sticker in the traditional spent on the drunk lid.

I found on another thread, a URL that if you use with your VIN, it will display factory options of your car, including color code.

Use http://admin.porschedealer.com/reports/build_sheets/details.php?vin=WP0AA2999000000

Replace the last part with your VIN. Awesome!!
