I ran Adaptec's 14mm (virtually the same as 15mm) on the rear of my prior C4 and my current C2S and they look great without any risk of overdoing it. 14/15mm is the widely accepted number. For the front 7mm is also widely recommended... you don't get as much push outwards but beyond that are reports of the tires hitting the wheel wheel when the car dips in a turn.

I like Adaptec's newest generation spacers (no affiliation) since they are both wheel and hub centric and they have nice galvanized bolts at the proper lengths for the spacers. Mine have been staying nice and silvery for a year and a half with no signs of oxidation. (To keep them this way, I also recommend using a lug socket with a protective non-scratch surface like the Protect-a-Socket I got on eBay).

like I said, complete opposite to what I've found - 15 on the rear was way too much. the 15s looked better on the front. with 7 on the rear for flush fitment

Understood, but there is something very unusual about your car. My wheels didn't stick out anything like you see in your photo. From what I could see, I would have guessed you had 30mm spacers.

Just for the record, here is a photo of my 2S rear wheel with a 14mm spacer on factory wheels with the 67mm offset and 295 tires. The tire doesn't stick out anything like we see in your photo. I hate to ask this... but are you sure there isn't a spacer already on the wheel?

15mm on my car is just perfect! It sits almost flush with my 67 offset factory wheels.

Before my custom wheels I was using 12mm front and 18mm rear. The 18 was perfect. For anyone who uses 15, you're missing out on another 3mm that could be potentially used. But at that point, there's not much of a difference to notice, lol..

no spacer on the wheel - plus how do you explain the need to put 15mm on the front when everyone else is recommending 7mm?

Personal preference. There's nothing weird going on here, you just don't like that look, some people do. Like I mentioned before I put 10's on my fronts and I think they look like they have room to go bigger. I didn't like bigger spacers on the back of mine either though. I actually bought Perk10's 18's but I sold them and I'm about to try 13's on the back, hopefully that won't stick out too far. I have the 10's in back right now and they look fine but I want to move them up front again.

Is your car lowered at all? Have PASM? IMO, the bigger spacers look best when the car is lowered and there's no big gaps in the wheel well above the tires.

Man that looks good...are you running a 295 tire on the 11in stock wheel?

Thanks and yes: stock 19x11 wheels (seen in profile phot) with 295 tires. Seems just right to me... spacer thickness chosen based on the sage advice on many others before me.

No drop here other than the 10mm that comes with PASM. The space between the tires and wheel well is almost perfectly the same gap all of the way around. It works for me.

I considered it but I don't think it would work out well with my driveway or a couple of other dips I frequently encounter.

Default 05 with 19's

Any pictures out there showing the before and after or at least the after with 19's and different spacers? Here's my current wheel type.

I am running 5mm factory spacers with 305 rears. I like the look and runs flush with the fenders.

997.x 2 and 2S has F/R offsets of 57/67 (with 295 tires in the rear)
997.x 4 and 4S has F/R offsets of 57/51 (but with the wider 305 tires in the rear)

Does the 2S setup work on 4S bolt on on the rear? The ET 67 sounds to me as they would come close to the inside...Is it just cosmetic with the 305 in the rear?
