911 Targa Production Numbers

Curious but does anyone know how many 997 Targa's were produced? I've looked all over but have only been able to find the total number of 997's produced but not by model.

The recent PCA Panoroma issue dedicated to Targas states that 8500 997 Targas were sold worldwide, against internal projections of 7000.
