Default I guess i'll introduce myself. New 997 owner.

Hello Rennlisters. I bought a 997 C2 Arctic Silver about a month ago. I've been a car enthusiast ever since i can remember. I've probably had around 20 cars over the years and I am only 29. I've had all different kinds of cars and modded them all. Since i do not have the time, nor do i want to bore you by posting pics of every one of my previous cars, I'll just post a pic of my most recent car which was an E46 M3:

Sold the M3 to a local a couple of months ago and decided to search for a PCar. Never had one before so Porsche is new to me. After weeks of researching these cars i pulled the trigger on a Arctic Silver 997 C2. Anyone that knows me, knows how much i HATE silver cars. But i got a pretty good deal so, whatever.

How she looked the day i picked her up:

Clean, nice and stock but i always feel the need to make it "my own" AKA be the opposite of responsible and spend all the money i can afford on the car.

So fast forward one month:

My next mod will be a GT3 rear bumper. I am currently researching inexpensive center exhaust options, which seem non-existant. I've heard of people using their stock exhaust by re-routing the exit to the center but i cant find any pictures or info on it. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Sorry for the long post. Hope you enjoyed the pics.

Thanks!

Based on your previous car and what you've posted that you've done and plan to do to this car so far, it's safe to assume that you like them to look like so something other than a driver's car? Posing a C2 as a gt3 seems cheesy to me but to each his own I guess.

love it! Are you also getting a GT3RS spoiler? This car would look great with a GT3 bumper and a ducktail.

Thanks for the input, but i'm not "posing" anything. From what i understand, posing would mean badging a car as something it is not, which i will never do. I really just love the GT3 rear bumper. The stock carrera bumpers are boring. You're entitled to your own opinion tho.

Thanks brother! Yes i agree, a GT3 rear bumper would definitely make the rear less boring. I'm not sure about the RS rear spoiler tho, i will probably just go with the ducktail.

I'm in love with your car BTW. Love the TE's

Well, putting a gt3 front bumper on, rear bumper on, changing the badge to 911, and painting the calipers yellow ( apologies if you did actually upgrade to the ceramic brakes)...
Is projecting a likeness in all but performance to an existing car. I call that posing.

Ok, so you didn't put the gt3 badge on but if I saw the car in a parking lot I'd think, gt3!

Lol! Changing my badge to 911 is posing.

If I really wanted to make a 997.1 RS rep, I'm way off. I mean, the colors aren't even right. But since you don't have the knowledge to distinguish my car from an RS in a parking lot, I'm posing. Ok buddy.

Sorry, I guess the M3 with the rear wheels sticking out 2" past the fenders leads me to believe this 997 build won't end well.

Silver/red combo is really nice and the addition of the GT3 front and rear bumpers with a ducktail will certainly make your car look sharp.
Modifying your car along your own taste is hardly posing, it is after all your car and you should enjoy it any way you see fit.
You'll end with a real head turner! Enjoy it the best you can.
