For those who missed out on this custom match, for small touch ups I've been using Nissan touch up paint code K51 (Nissan North America Part No. 999PP-DSK51). I'd estimate it is about an 80% match, looks fine for small spots and is under $10.

 

Still have any left? Any application tips? Did you so any post application treatment?

 

Well, some 18 months after sidwin sent me this paint, I finally got around to touching up the area around my passenger seat hinges. Excellent match, and kudos to sidwin for the effort and for sharing.

In that same spirit, I have two bottles, and I cant see ever needing the second. I'm happy to pass it along for just the mailing cost. PM me if you need it.

 

The extra paint is spoken for, guys.

 

guys i was asked on here if i could get some more made. i'm going to get one more 1/4 pint made.

if anyone needs anymore of this stuff i'm only going to have 5 bottles of it. $75 shipped if anyone wants in. shipping alone via USPS is $10, plus the paint is $400 a gallon.

Should be ready in about a week.

I'm interested but just so I'm clear, you own a 997.1 and mixed this for your 997.1 seat backs. Is that right? Pardon the naivety here but are 997.1 and 997.2 seat backs the same or different grays? I think they are different right? If they are the same, I'll take a bottle. Just wanted to be sure. Thanks for doing this either way.

 

yes the grey color on the seat back that is also the same grey that is around the gauge too.
