Default 997 seat options

So, I've got the memory lumbar seats currently. I really prefer my old sport seats and was hoping to source some for the 997.2

What's the best route? Adaptive sport seats or the manual sport seats. Would either one of them throw any errors? I'd rather go the the manual sport seats since they'll probably be cheaper and easier to come by.

If I were smart, I should have taken them out of my previous car and replaced those with standard seats from somewhere and saved the sports. Stupid. Stupid.

or would it just be easier to source and install a pair of Recaro Sportster CS seats? Seems that wouldn't be too bad if I could pick up a pair of used ones along the way. Resale probably would be pretty good too after a few years.

I swapped my seats and have not encountered any error codes. The exchange was as dramatic as you could get since I swapped out GT2 Sport buckets for Adaptive sport seats so I went from completely manual seats to power seats and it is a simple plug and play swap. I can only assume any other exchange is the same, keep in mind though that unless you already have the memory switches and heated seat switches you will lose any of that functionality. The adaptive sport seats are terrific. Try LA Dismantlers or DC automotive and expect to pay about $3,500 for a set of the sport seats.

I was debating a swap for quality sport seats with full power and such.

Check this out. Covert the stocks:

I switched from regular 997 Comfort seats to adaptive sports seats plus in my 997.1. No issues with functionality, memory, or error codes. You need to disconnect the battery when doing the swap or you'll get an error code from the side airbags that are in the 997 seats. Love my sport seats with the pneumatic support and the shoulder support wings.
