Default Cage Options?

Looking at some bolt in cage options, not wanting to break the bank on this.

Also hoping to get one in silver metallic.

Ok, its between Agency power roll cage or a Porsche tequipment bar.

I'm still trying to find the details of the Porsche bar.

There's a fellow on here who I always run into at the NASA events. He has a gorgeous seal grey 997.1 Turbo with red interior and a red full bolt in cage. He told me the car is also his DD, the setup looks fantastic. I would post in the Turbo forum and see if he responds.

In fact if you look up my recent threads, I posted a picture of his car in my Nola Track thread.

I recently purchased a setup for my Ford (being that this is my track car) and one thing I found is there is a huge range of pricing (and quality) with the bolt in setups. Don't go cheap is all I can say. I went with a group that custom matches the paint to your spec and builds a superior product. Yes it cost twice as much as everyone else but the build looks OEM once it's installed.

IMO, i'd go with shock mounts as opposed to rear seat belt mounts (and even go as far as weld in, vs. bolt in, for added strength. i would check out RSS, GMC, DAS.

GMG bolted into the seat belt holes. Have someone install it for you. Did this four years ago and couldn't be happier.

I prefer RSS for bolt in roll bar. Get the one that bolts to shock towers. RSS manufactures their own bars...I've been to there place and seen this done. Great company to do business with and very high quality product.

Looks like I might go with the RSS hybrid. Is there a way to cut the tower covers in the back so that they have a clean finish around the roll bar?

GMG or RSS. They bolt in and allow your seat to go back.

Seats are gone, no worries in that dept.

I just want a clean look if I get the strut tower mount.

Also does anybody sell the seat pan carpet without all the little holes for the seating, or do I have to order the "RS" rear seat pan carpet?

No need to cut anything with the RSS bars that mount to the shock towers...they bolt right up.

How can you put the carpet around the tower arms?

Has anybody actually used or had a DAS Sport Roll Bar?

Vivid racing sells them so I suppose they are good.

It is definitely between RSS 930 Hybrid or the DAS sport Bar.

Totally agree here. RSS makes some of the better rear roll bars. I have one and have been highly satisfied with it. It bolts to the rear shock towers.

The OEM Tequipment bar fits perfectly (most have gaps at the headliner), looks fantastic, is just as functional as all the others (bolt-ins) listed above and you can always flip it for what you paid down the road.
