@swingwing, ah yes, that's what I thought but unsure about. Onc the pads cleared, wiggling the calliper will do the job?

Well, I spoke too soon. I went back out to take another picture or two, but upon rechecking fit of these sockets I found that they don't fit. 10mm is too small, next up 11mm is too big. I checked 12 point sockets in both metric and SAE, and no luck there either. Grr...I'm back to square one it appears. Knowing how Porsche emphasizes brakes I never thought I'd run into a problem like this. Brakes on the 997.2 S are the same as the 997.1 S. Kind of wish I'd bought an S now but will keep looking for a fix.

Yes. Here's a decent video on pad and rotor replacement - though it's done with a different caliper style than this new one on the 997.2 3.6L.
