I don't like some of the interior treatments that scratch so easily. Further, the interior is not the same caliber as the rest of the car, quality wise. Interior Rattles, squeaks, and visual defects like scratches and marring are part of life with the 997.
Ordinary stalk controls with a cheap feel and cheap printing. Not up to par for a 100k dollar car. The stalk controls in my 1967 911 had a more significant feel.
The greasy front and back windows. Have no idea what it is but all three of my 997's have had the same grease treated windows that are almost impossible to clean. I've tried everything including rubbing alcohol but nothing completely cuts through it without leaving streaks. The retractable side windows don't seem to have the same problem but gets covered up with some other kind of grease residue when lowered and raised, especially when wet. The -09 was the worst where sometimes it covered about 50% of the window making it difficult to see through it.
The indicator stalk "click" feels like an american/japanese car. This was one of the first things I noticed and was surprised at when first drove the car (coming from BMWs).

interesting... I will say the stalks in my E87 and F10s were excellent.
