Default :: ECS Tuning :: Center Radiator Kit | Escort Radar Detectors | Powerflex

The Tiptronic 997 utilizes a 3-radiator cooling system, improving engine cooling by up to 20 degrees compared to a 2-radiator arrangement. Cars equipped with the optional X51 Powerkit also received this upgrade.
But what about those 6-speed cars without the $16,900 Powerkit? These are left with a 2-radiator cooling system. Adequate for street driving, but not for a hot day at the track.

The solution? A complete kit from Porsche, including each part required to install the additional radiator into your manual 997, allowing your engine to operate under heavy loads for longer periods.

The function of your suspension is highly dependent upon the quality of the bushings that each component pivots or rotates on. The 997 has a perfected suspension geometry; worn bushings widen clearances and decrease suspension articulation.

Powerflex Inner Control Arm Bushings are not only made of durable polyurethane for longevity and steering feel - their design makes possible the fine adjustment of camber, allowing for a personalized performance setup for your 997 Carrera.

Wow... that's the lowest price I've seen for a 3rd rad kit. GLWS!

FYI: it's showing up as about $5 more expensive on your site than your price shows here.

but that did it for me, ordered even at $5 more. gonna get off my duff, put the third radiator in for the houston summer also finally ordered and will replace the acceleration sensor that's tripping my airbag light, and go hunt up or make some grill mesh protection for the radiators.

Is that Porsche's third radiator kit? Will it fit a S?

I would not have thought it possible to get all those genuine Porsche parts for less than $200.

I have a 997.1 C4S with the factory X51 powerkit (which comes with the 3rd radiator). However I went to Pelican Parts and entered the Porsche part number listed in this ad and it said this kit, "May not be compatible with my 2006 C4S." Not sure why unless there is a different set-up between the base and S models. Regardless, the S will accommodate a 3rd radiator, just not sure if this is the one. It's worth asking the vendor.

Thanks for the support Steve. As for the price, when I put the Ad up it actually was at the $172.57, but Porsche updated the price over the weekend. They must of knew our Ad was going out I will have the marketing guys change the price to reflect it.

OT: Hopefully you're drying out as well, a friend of mine took a video of him driving home a week or so ago (lives in Katy) and the rain you guys got was crazy.

We were surprised as well when we saw it. Not too many things you can get in a kit from Porsche at that price point.

Is that your Porsche in the avatar? Hope it's not a copyrighted picture.

I guess it is your company's right to object to me using a picture from your website to sell a set of used wheels I bought from your company but its my right to NEVER buy anything from your company again.
