No one running Cragar SS's?

But seriously THANKS and keep 'em coming. If anyone can post prices, that'd be uber helpful.
Champion: around 6K for a set
HRE (forged): 6K to 7K for a set
Forgeline: 6K to 7K for a set

Those are the ones I'm familiar with. All said, be prepared to pay double or more for forged vs. cast wheels.

Lobsters are cast and are among the lightest wheels you can get on the 997. That being said, what's so wrong with cast, or great about forged?

Forged are lighter weight thus less rotational mass to spin and for the coil overs to handle. Nothing you will ever notice putting around on the street. Forged are also usually stronger.

Don't just go get any low cost cast wheel though...you have to be careful. The only cast wheels I'd use are stock OEM Porsche wheels which to me are usually heavy and not the best looking (owner perception) and are not outset to fill the wheel well or OZ HLT Series. I and many at the track have been using the OZ HLT series of low pressure cast wheels with great success.
If money is not too much of an issue and you really want top quality forged wheels for a Porsche....look at Forgeline, Formula 43, HRE, CCW, BBS, OZ Superlegara, Volk/Rays,

No argument...the Forgelines on your GTS are the best quality and looking...I'm jealous...in a good way

Stunning. As much as I enjoy the color of my car, a 911 in black, polished and sealed properly, is the epitome of badassness!

I'm about to wash, clay, polish, and wax my 997 again this month. As much as I love black and it does look stunning after a wash. I think this is the first and last black car for me. I prefer to drive more than washing and waxing it. Just too OCD to own a black car.

Not sure what's wrong with imageshack right now but here is another.

I'll never forget when my buddy's old man got one of the first 997 GT3's in the US and immediately put it on RS98's... They were already my favorite but when I saw them in gunmetal on his Gray GT3, it blew my mind altogether.

They looked just like this! To me, these wheels are simple, clean, 911'ish and would show off my PCCB's like crazy. Anyone wanna sell me their set for cheap?!
