I'm picking up a 997.2 C4S and am curious how these wheels I already have might fit. Wondering mostly if the 40mm rear offset is going to make them stick out from the fenders?
Front: 9 × 20 ET 50
Rear: 10.5 x 20 ET 40
I had this set-up on my 997.2 C4S... fitment was perfect
BC Forged MLE81
19x9 @ 45mm offset (-2.2 camber) 235/35-19
19x12 @ 42mm offset (-1.5 camber) 305/35-19
Zero rubbing and plenty of room to upgrade the tires (will do 245/325 soon). Will adjust coilovers to lower it a bit more but will do that when I get new camber plates.
Updated. Finally got the 245/325 installed. Much better ride with the Yokohama V605 than the Continentals.
19x11.5 et62 (20.7 lbs) and 11x8.5 et53 (19.5 lbs)
Love the classic clean look and the light weight is noticeable too!
Wow. Bravo! If those weights are accurate you are in magnesium lightness territory-despite seemingly lots of forged aluminum in the design. And 1-piece mono-block construction is lighter than modular (3-piece look is only cosmetic, according to the Champion website).
I have some forged OZ wheels in 9 & 12 by 19" -my since removed flow formed Ultralegerras (UL) in those sizes were 23.4 and 26.2 lbs- and my new Superforgiattas (SF) are 19.0 and 22.2 lbs.
In comparison, the 997 GT2/GT3RS forged OEM wheels in those sizes are 23.0 and 27.5 lbs.
Another data point: the 20" 991.2 GT3 RS (20×9.5 and 21×12.5) Weissach Magnesium wheels weigh only 16.5/ 22 lbs (!!)
(Same size OEM Aluminum forged wheels are +6 lbs @ 23.5/ 28lbs)
Here's a shot of the UL on my car and the SF held beside them:
Those wheels referenced above are obviously centerlines, and I've only seen the BBS F1 mag wheels in comparable sizes weighing less than the OZ SF. They are pricy $11,900 for a set of 4. I think the OEM Weissach Mags were a + $13K option above the aluminum.
(OZ SF cost me about $6500 at Tire Rack.)
The BBS F1 only come in 20 and 21", but the weights are: 20x9.0 17.4 lbs 20x12 20.5 !!
But look what BBS removed to get those values (the OZ SF individual spokes are scalloped (but not slotted) and the hubs are extensively drilled out from behind):
