I too have never bought road hazard insurance when buying tires....until I put a set of Michelin PSS's on my car. The way these cars pick stuff up on the road I figured it was money well spent. Probably a guarantee I will never get a nail in my tire now.

I wish having the coverage would keep the stuff out of the tires.The Boxster's tires were bad enough, but the Turbo tires. Nail magnets.

At one point I had a nailed tire replaced under the road hazard coverage. Then the replacement tire got a nail. The company offering the coverage balked at covering the 2nd tire. The service manager and parts manager lobbied on my behalf and the 2nd tire was covered.

The service manager tells me I'm not alone. He says he has several cars a week come in with something in a tire.
