i had it fixed on an 09 carrera once in tampa... it was when the 997.2's came out and lot of people had mirror whistle issue..
trying to get it fixed on my 10 carrera and they say "they never heard of it and no clue how to fix cause no tsb exists".
anyone have a reference to a fix... or a dealer that knows their stuff mine can call and talk to? its very frustrating because i love to drive windows down and i get a constant whistle from both mirrors.
Document the speed at which the whistling occurs, and start placing a piece of tape on the area you think it is coming from. Move the tape around until you find the trouble area. Perhaps a small piece of 3M tape, with a bump in it would act like a spoiler?
Seems to me your mechanic could just Google "Mirror whistle Porsche 997" and then they'd have heard of it.
At $180 an hour, they shouldn't really have a problem starting there. I've seen a few DIY fixes on the google searches. If I find the TSB i'll post it here.
