Me too! Thanks for the info. I just cannot see going without and it can't hurt re-sale if it goes up for sale when warranty can be offered/transferred with the car.

Do they ask if the car is still under warranty? Can we do a group buy for extended warranties? Lol

Just purchased a Fidelity Platinum warranty Feb. 25th 2014 for my 2010 C4S that had three weeks remaining on the Porsche factory warranty. Purchased from my dealer as they gave me the best price by far. Was not aware they stopped covering Porsches since then.

I spoke with Fidelity (FWS) customer service this moring. The contract I purchased last week on my 2010 C4S is valid and active. They are still writing extended warranty policies on Porsches. However, only certain models and not in all states.

Apparently warranty coverage is further delineated by model year, mileage and if the car is still under Porsche facotry or CPO warrranty as well.

I did not ask and she did not provide a detailed list to me as I was mostly interested in confirming my newly purchased warranty was valid.

Hope this helps.

Yes they do. And it would be nice to do a group buy but it's not a one size fits all sway bar Each case is very different.

My 2010 cayenne factory warranty is expiring soon and I got quote for extended warranty from a Porsche dealer. Warranty company is CNA. Below are the quotes.. How does this look? Is it worth spending for extended warranty? I saw lot of posts about not buying it..

Also any one dealt with CNA warranty? Dealer says they are one of the best.

My Cayenne has currently 22K miles and approximately driven 8k/year.

Dealer Quoted for "Automotive Preferred care" Service (Top of CNA line of warranty).
3yr/60K miles - $2000.00
4Yr/60K mikes - $2150.00
5Yr/60K miles - $2250.00
4Yr/72K miles - $2850.00
5Yr/80K miles - $3200.00
8Yr/100K miles - $5950.00

This is with $200 deductible.

I'm leaning towards 3rd option 5yr/60K .. Coverage is 5 years from date of warranty purchase OR 60K on odometer which ever first. Like to hear your opinion..

Thanks in advance.
I got this quote from Baker Porsche at Charleston, SC. If any you are interested call, Rick Shaw @ 843.502.4030 there. Also I did call around bunch of other Porsche dealers and no one is close this quote. Hope this helps.

CNA wouldn't cover me in KY. I asked if it was the car or the state, she said both. Fidelity wants $4300 for full coverage 3yr/36k mile and $2400 for power train only w $250 deductible. Thoughts?

Wow, those seem to be good prices. I have a couple of months left on my factory and was thinking of getting an extended. Is this predicated on on the factory still being in effect? I hope they cover NY. Can Pors indicate what isn't covered on the policy? I don' mind the high deductible. The 5 year 60k seems to be the sweet spot.

I got Fidelity Platinum a year ago just before factory warranty expired on my 09 TT and 09 Cayenne S. Other than a few delays as they seem to want to send their tech out before approving repairs, i'm happy. I don't know how they make money as they have already paid out what I paid.

Buy before OEM warranty expires.

Dealers can easily discount 40% off the "list" prices.

. Do you think a lower price applies if you buy before the CPO warranty expires, or just the original warranty?

Thanks, this is very helpful. It appears from its terms that one can buy this warranty before the CPO warranty expires. The definition of NEW or NEAR-NEW includes a factory extended warranty. Looks like a good program for those who want an extended warranty.
