Discount Tire Direct dot com doesn't match Tirerack's prices, they're actually cheaper than TR

As others have mentioned; give your local shop a chance to match. As a retail store owner, I always appreciate when a customer is up front with me and offers me a chance to match an online or competitors price, as long as we're not losing money I'd be happy to help them out and keep their dollars local.

My Porsche dealer said they would beat Tire Rack but when I showed them the price on winter tires and wheels they said they couldn't.
I just got new rears from TireRack. I will take to dealer to mount.
Been using TireRack for years always perfect.

I've gone many times with tire rack and discount direct. Both offer great service and speed of delivery. If given the choice though- I always go through discount direct, for 2 reasons: 1. no sales tax (I live in IN- same as Tire Rack) 2. FREE shipping. Shipping alone on 4 tires is usually over $75 with tire rack.

If you're from Canada and buying high end tires, discounttiredirect.com is the way to go. They charge $40 per tire that covers all shipping, brokerage and taxes no matter what the value of the tires are. Our 12% sales tax alone would be $143.70 on a set of MPSS

Thanks all for the feedback and support. We pride ourselves in being the industry "standard" for tire research and knowledge, and have been since 79. We realize there are other resources out there for tires, but I'm sure we can all agree nobody matches what we bring in terms of personal guidance, education, and helping you make the proper buying decision. Of course we want to offer the best prices and availability also, and certainly try to. We always encourage you to shop around.

Other places may sell you tires, but we help you buy the RIGHT tires! If there is anything I can do to assist please call!
