Default Sticky thread idea: "Look at this 997 for sale"

Links to eBay, AutoTrader, Craigslist, some random car lot, showing an exceptionally attractive and/or well-priced 997. Serves three purposes:
  1. Keeps us on top of the market trends
  2. Leads buyers to cars
  3. Eye Candy!

I like this idea. I'll add some cars that I've been looking at when I get back to my computer.

This one seems WAY LOW. The dealer in my area has this same car (2012 Black Edition) for much more money with more miles.

You are right, it is way low. I did a quick check... it is a salvage. Although I cannot pull up the details, that VIN shows up in a salvage auction. Google the VIN and word salvage: "WP0AA2A99CS789221 salvage". You can see hints that it was auctioned as salvage in July 2013. It reappears in December where it was probably bought by the dealer you see, then it appears again with that dealer this month.

From the photos, the paint is a bit funky too. Thanks for the detective work. Salvage cars can sometimes be a good buy if you plan to drive a car 10 years or more and DD. by sometimes, I mean maybe 8% of the time.

A little above my price range but a nice low mileage Targa 4 for anyone in the market:
http://www.autohans.com/web/used/Por...Texas/1437280/
Guards Red Targa 4
33k MI
$47k list
Fuchs 19" Sport Classics, heated seats, bose

Don't know much about these wheels but they seem to be less common. Do they add value to the car in anyway over "normal" 19" wheels? Personally I don't like the look that much, would I be able to get close to $1000 if I traded for carrera classics?

Those Sport Classic wheels are close to $6,000/set new, so yeah, I think you could do a lot better than $1,000.

You should list price and a little synopsis of the car, miles, options etc. Otherwise this will be just be a thread full of dead links.

Good point, let's also add editing the posts once cars are sold.

I was considering this car last summer when I could have had it for 44.5K from a previous dealer who bought it at auction (and claimed he got it for 44). The car was a good deal at that price and a coupla thousand less miles than now. I was almost ready to have it PPI'd since I didn't want to go to Texas, but even at that time it had gone thorough quite a few hands and owners. Then I decided I had to have a PDK car which blew up my budget considerably.

This has to be a salvage title.

I agree with Robocop here and would assume that's why there isn't any pictures present. Can you tell how long a ad has been up for on Cars.com?
