PPI stands for pre-purchase inspection, but since I did the inspection after I purchased the car, it becomes a post purchase inspection, not my definition, it is the Porsche dealers definition. Anyhow the dealer that I purchased the car from is going to have the car fixed at the Porsche dealership I had do the inspection. The Porsche dealership also will warrant the repair for two years. I am satisfied with this.

Very unusual to have an '08 w a rms/ims problem to begin with! Especially one w miles on it. Sorry for your troubles and glad you got a satisfied solution. Consider a new clutch while they are at it. Enjoy and drive it like you stole it!
