Leather Seat Care

Sonax foam leather cleaner.
You can use any cleaner just apply a thin amount on an applicator instead directly on the leather.
Work in small sections and turn the seat heaters on

I've generally found most auto seat leather products to be a waste of time, cleaning with a damp soft cloth is all you need most of the time.
The two exceptions I have found are Leather Masters (3 part system) and Leatherique (2 part system). Both products leave the leather feeling soft and don't leave the seats all shiny and greasy.
They will both also help with damaged or worn leather, at least to an extent, and bring back some of the factory new look and feel.

I also use Leatherique and Leather Masters and have found the rest to be inferior. There's a thread in the detailing forum that discusses this, it's titled GT2 Sport Bucket Seat leather care but it applies to all the leather in the car including dash and doors. Some good reading in there.

I use Dr.Leather with a small soft brush. I start off by cleaning the leather with warm to hot water and a microfiber towel, leave to dry then use Dr. Leather sprayed onto the soft brush and work into the perforations. Leaves the leather with a nice matt finish, looking brand new - link: http://www.drleather.com/

This is a good way to clean seats, but just make sure you don't get the seats wet. The water will soak in around the perforations and can create rings around them. In places where the protective layer is broken down the same thing can happening and it can ruin the finish.

Leatherique is great stuff
I was a fan of Lexol for years before trying Leatherique on my C2Cab. IMO, there's nothing better for any leather than Leatherique and the great thing is how it brings back the original smell.

Leatherique! Everything else is a waste of money....and yes I have tried everything. Sonus, Zaino, and Griots are good but not as good as Leatherique.

X2 For years I used Lexol. I was never actually convinced it did much, but saw no harm in using it so continued to do so. After trying both Leather Masters and Leatherique I would never use Lexol again, both products make a noticeable difference to the leather and definitely work as advertised.

Add me to the list of people that have tried tons of products including Lexol. Funny thing is that I also thought Lexol was useless, both cleaner and conditioner. I thought I was using it wrong and did tons of research and could never get it do much. Leather Master was the opposite, immediate results with far less effort. Same for Leatherique.
