Battery question

I need a new battery in my '09 C2 and have been reading the various threads. A lot of owners have replaced the OEM with the Maxx battery at Walmart and state that the H7 size fit their car perfectly. Walmart's battery finder suggests a H8 size for the C2 and the H7 for the C2S. Is that right? I find it surprising that a larger, more powerful battery would be recommended for the C2.

i cant recall what I bought I think it was a H8 a while back. i think its about an inch longer and a few lbs heavier. Unless youre a track guy and worry about weight, i'd opt for the slighlty more powerful version.

I don't see why the C2S would require more juice than a C2 necessarily. I think it's the question of size based on which Walmart is making the recommendation. I would measure the stock battery and go with the appropriate sized replacement.

out with the old, in with the new. Ten minute job, including putting the tools back.

I've changed plenty of batteries and it's not rocket science. Just wondering if anyone has information on the fitment of the H8 and H7.
The H8 comes up on Walmart's online battery finder, not a store rec.
Thanks.

I currently have a Interstate Mega Tron Plus H7 battery.
as you can see the clamp fits in the same location as the OEM battery.
you'll just have to move the clamp over to the next hole w/ an H8.

Where do you buy a good Interstate these days?
I currently have one that's lasted forever, sometimes I would not start the car for a month and it would start right up.
