Hi all,
I've got my eye on this 2011 Carrera S being offered by iAutohaus in Tempe, AZ. The car looks very clean in the photos, but as I'm in Florida I would be more comfortable having it checked out by somebody local. Any recommendations for a reputable shop to do a PPI for me?
Also, what the heck is it called when you ask a fellow Rennlister to stop by and check out the car?
I'm drawing a blank and I'm tired of searching for it, but I'd like to have that as well and would be happy to pay for this or return the favor somehow.
Paul

OMG, timing is everything! I was just in Tempe last week helping my brother do a PPI on his (about to be) 997 C2S Aerokit Coupe. We did our own mini PPI and had the rest done at Beck's European Service in Scottsdale. First rate experience and treatment.
Too bad we didn't know about your need, as we would have gladly put any eyeball on yours. I'll get with my brother and he'll get with you with details.
BTW, my car came from the St Pete, FL area. Small world, huh?

I will drive within a mile of there on my way home in about 2 hours, I dont mind stopping by, but I am not yet a 997 or p-car owner. I have purchased 7-8 used cars in the last 10 years but I am no mechanic or body shop expert, but I'd be happy to stop by and look at anything specific you want me to look at.
Let me know

Blu311 - thank you very much for your offer! I'm currently waiting to hear back from Beck's to see if they can go check out the car, so I think I will wait to see if they can do a full inspection.
Regardless, if I can return the favor someday, please let me know.

No problem, good luck!
By the way, incase Becks doesnt work out, I have also seen the following place recommended by a few locals on rennlist... I have never used them but I have heard good things and have kept their info around incase I need a local PPI:
Stuttgart Southwest
1844 E 6th Street Tempe, AZ 85281
480-968-6764

Sam - I replied to your PM.
Blu311 - thanks again! If Beck's doesn't work out I'll give them a try. The dealer recommended AIM Inspections or Lemon Squad, but I'd rather not go with one of their recommendations unless I have to.

I had my recently purchased 997.1 inspected at Becks European in Scottsdale, and was 100% satisfied. Tim was the tech, and really knew what he was doing. Also had a short shift installed. Highly recommend them! Good luck with the purchase.
