Talking New Guy, New-ish Car, and Pics!

After years of 80hr work weeks and driving the same 1999 Jeep for years, I have finally purchased my first p-car.

This past spring I picked up a 2007 C2S from a fellow Rennlister. After the PPI checked out, I flew to Maryland to take possession of this beauty, and drove it straight home to Minneapolis. I will remember that 20 hour drive for the rest of my life :-)

RANT: I'm very disappointed with the dealer that performed the PPI - they missed a few important (i.e. expensive) issues and only drove the car .7 miles. That's another story...

Here are a few pics from a promo I did for a local charity rally:

Can't forget a few 'firsts' I've documented over the past 6 months!

First accident - drunk and high woman without insurance ran a red. I almost stopped in time.

Gravel Road - With a freshly repaired and detailed car, I went to pick someone up without the knowledge that they lived down a 15 mile gravel stretch. Ouch!

First Snow - Before parking my car for the winter, I was lucky enough that someone hit it again (this time a hit-and-run while parked). I had some fun regardless.

First Hibernation - And now here it sits, repaired once again, freshly detailed, and sleeping for the winter :-)

Welcome!

Very nice car and pics!
Sorry to hear your Pcar ownership started with a " bang "....literally!
I hope all is forgotten and enjoying the machine...

Thanks for the warm welcomes! Last year was a mix of highs and lows.

The list of automotive issues I experienced was unexpected, to say the least. These all happened within 3 months of each other:
- My 911 was crashed into by a woman without insurance
- Days after getting the car home from the bodyshop, it was hit a second time (hit & run) while parked
- My Jeep was rear-ended by a prius (she got the worst of that!)
- I crashed my motorcycle in the rain (finally, my fault!)
- After fixing the bike, it was stolen
- I was test driving my buddy's Viper, and I got rear-ended at a stop light.
- My trailer was stolen along with my tools
- My replacement trailer was rear-ended (apparently trailers are invisible and can't be seen by other drivers)

Chaos: she was most definitely not worth it! My ex ladyfriend is from Columbus. I've been there a million times - I like that area a lot.

ECS Tuning: I must admit, I've become a Polaris man now! Hope we can still be friends :-)

That particular lady belongs to someone else :-P

I've had a pretty easy life, so I guess it's only fair to take some abuse periodically. It's especially frustrating, though, because it's all so unnecessary. Each one of these events could have been avoided with one of two things: common sense or common decency.
