i suggest 35%-50% all around.
it wont hinder rear-night visibility (especially if you go 50%), and be uniform all around. also ask the tint shop if they have ceramic tint (or anything along those lines), they should know that you are trying to avoid the cheap stuff from 20 years back that turns purple

Great Point, very well said, I have seen it Ghetto and I have seen where it looks very clean.
Any suggestions on a high end tint that fits that description? I would not want Limo tint, not a fan at all, a nice mid tint I would try, but that crap that looks purple or ends up with bubbles all over is what has stopped me from trying it up to this point.

really really nice car.
Living in south Florida, I don't care about UV rays inside the car but I do care about less glare and a cooler cabin. The sun gets intense here 6 months out of the year and tintless windows is not really an option as far as I'm concerned. 35% is a good compromise. Not too dark but still effective.
As for the night visibility that some brought up, I don't understand the concern with 20 years of driving tinted. Never even gave it a thought since I don't think it's an issue. With 20% it may be but certainly not with 35% or lighter.

Tint is a must in South FL. Went from 15% and 30% on the windshield of my M3 to a lighter 30% sides and 50% windshield on the Porsche. I love to know that my all leather dash doesn't get eaten up by UV rays.

35% is just about right in almost all circumstances, it does make backing up at night a minor challenge especially if there are no street illumination.
Note that full windshield tint is illegal in all states, the only exception if you can produce a doctor issued proof of medical condition. That said a very light tint (90%) will not likely attract any attention from the LEO.

Thank you to everyone for their comments and pics, and I really like the Boss.
I have made the decision to go with the window tint, however, the state of Georgia only permits 32% so I will go with 35% tint all over. I found a high end tint service through an auto detailer I used in 2012. I can't wait to see the reults and will post pics once conmpleted.

Today we took a quick surface temperature reading on a 2014 VW Touareg we just received. The car was sitting outside for 15 minutes before we brought the vehicle inside to our facility. But before we did, we found these astounding numbers:
Front driver seat - 156 degrees F
Front driver side dash - 163 degrees F
This is the reason dashboards and leather seats tend to crack over time. Daily exposure to the sun's UV and infrared rays can wear down the interior significantly in a short amount of time. Product quality and performance is why we choose to use Spectra PhotoSync Nano Tint by Prestige Film Technologies.
Spectra PhotoSync reduces total solar energy by up to 79% and block out up to 98.5% of IR and 99.5% of UV. We have used most of the high-end tint out there and there's nothing on the market, in our opinion, that can stack against this product
