Default Back in the driver's seat

After 6 long years out of a 911, I've finally taken delivery of a 2012, Platinum Silver Carrera GTS with a 6-speed manual.

I've only driven it a few miles, but that will certainly change over the next few weeks.

Pics soon...

Congrats! Similar situation here after a 2.5 year absence I got into a 2011 S about a month ago. You won't regret it... but then you already knew that

Wow....6 years....that's about 25% of what I have left if I'm lucky! I have to get out and drive her more!

Good Luck to you!

Congrats, curious to what filled in for those 6 years, and how it/they compared.

We'll chalk the 6 years up to loss of direction, but now... you're doing it right. I love those GTS cars esp 6 speed.

My last 911 was a 2005 GT3 that I ordered. I sold it after a couple of years and bought an Aston Martin Vantage V8. The V8 was a beautiful car with a great exhaust note, but not even close to the GT3 in driving feel or performance. I then had a Porsche Panamera S for a couple of years while we remodeled our house. It felt like a large 911.

The only thing that I didn't like about the GT3 was the wing. (Just wasn't for me) The GTS is missing the last thousand RPM's that the GT3 had, but other than that, it's a pretty amazing car.
