First pull on the headlight switch turns on the fog lights and second pull activates a rear marker light on the taillight on the driver side (EU spec).

power outlet in passenger footwell? I have an 997.2 also but can't find that one. Manual only refers to one in the ashtray. Its a 2010, so maybe it was added later. Car is at home, and Im at work. Its killing me to know. But as far as I known Ive never seen that one. Curious

On the 997.1's it's on the side of the passenger side foot well. Do not use this outlet, however, for high powered devices such as the tire pump otherwise you will blow the fuse for the foot well outlet. Only use such devices with the higher amp rated cigarette lighter outlet.

Use the search function on Rennlist. This topic has been covered in ad nauseam.

Just found out -- the 12V power outlets are always on, even if you remove the key and lock the car. Don't leave your electronics plugged in!

Hmmm...I always leave an old iPhone plugged in and on.

I wonder if there a way to cut the juice to these outlets???

By leaving your indicator arm up or down when parked leaves the rear light ( left or right ) illuminated. ie parking light

Has anyone noticed yet that the thread title is 977 minutiae, or is it time for me to visit my eye doctor? :P Is this is a unique characteristic that owners develop? :P

---------------------

Ding Ding Ding Ding! We have a winner. Irony, right? Minutiae is the topic, with a blatant typo! Love my 977!

p.s. On the motorcycle forums, the popcorn eating guy is almost exclusively reserved for when someone asks "what kind of oil do you use?"

ahem.. if you would search for oil related threads here you'd see tonnes of them, and each would take quite a while just to glance at, let alone follow the discussion I guess that's one of the first topics hit for any vehicle forum that even the not-so-experts can begin (I reeeeally wanted to start one, but didn't want to add to the pile :P)
