Default Clear Side Marker Lights

My 2011 4S came with clear tail lights as an option. Should I change the side marker lights to the clear style? I am not a big fan of modifying my Porsche.

Yes, you have to get the clear side markers or we'll have to kick you out

The clear markers are an OEM part made by Porsche for German-spec cars. So it's not really "modified" in terms of making it aftermarket.

I was just admiring the clear markers on my car the other day and was thinking what a huge difference they made in the look of the car....love the clear!

Yes you should get it. Takes 5 mins to swap out.

Lol

Glad I put my clear side markers in today, so I don't kicked out.

The ones I got from Suncoast are clear with an amber bulb and are OEM Porsche, think of it as changing a bulb, rather than a mod.

Most of the 997 marketing brochures show the cars with the clear side markers. All of the German cars come with clear. The clear markers Suncoast sells are OEM. You're almost not OEM without them...

Huge difference?!?!?! Tom, I hate to break it to you but your 997 would be just as gorgeous with no side marker lights!

I initially struggled with this mod from an aesthetic view point. The amber side markers kinda work with my guards red C2S and I even kept the ambers in storage JIC I want to switch back. But I didn't want to get kick-off RL so... LOL.

It's a simply 5 minute OEM mod which complements most colors... especially silver, black, grey, etc. Very inexpensive and will start you down that slippery "modsession" slope. Try it out and join the ranks of us "modmen"... after all it has been rumored to add 1-2 HP in to the "butt dyno". https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...r-carrera.html Happy New Years to all.

Yes clear side markers are required to be on RL and they do add 1-2 hp as mentioned above, Happy Hollidays to everyone on RL

I have two sets of the amber markers in the garage after swapping for clear on two different 997s. I'd probably have to pay someone to take them off my hands.
