Amazing car and attention to detail, to me actually the most amazing fact is that they said it did the Top Gear track faster than GT3 RS, now, that's an amazing achievement!

At $500,000, am I the only one who would rather have a Carrera GT AND a 993 than a Singer?

If you can afford a Carrera GT you can afford to have other cars. There is a guy on the Carrera GT forum that is having a Singer built.

That's true, but a Singer is not worth 500K to me.

That Gulf Blue looks awesome on that beauty.

If I remember correctly (Jesus) when I was talking to Dan (Edgy) about copying his (color combo) TB car and the challenges and wait and last minute Porsche turn downs relative to painting certain colors, I think Dan said he ordered GB first (PTS) when ordering his present TB car but Porsche said they couldn't do it (Dan please correct me if I'm mis-remembering this) so back to the drawing board. They did the same with me and my first choice....Champagne Yellow.

While Gulf is sharp and rare I think TB is nicer.........

Love that Singer though....but not $500K love!

I think we all could do a lot MORE with a $500k. This is a the car for the man who literally has everything. As much fantastic art as fantastic car.

Plus the 350 HP engine is apparently not street legal, at least in the US.

The Price range of a Singer is $350k - $500k. The price depends on what options and if you supply the 964 or they need to find you one.

It may be. I was basing my statement on the following iformation form the specifications sheet on Singer's website.

•3.8-liter engine, producing 360 hp [* intended for off-road use only] We are proud to be affiliated with Cosworth as the exclusive developer and supplier of the 360BHP 3.8L engine. This engine is built by world-class motorsport technicians at Cosworth’s ‘Center of Excellence’ in Torrance, California where the classic naturally aspirated Porsche flat six is optimized and re-built to motorsport tolerances. It benefits from true state of the art breakthroughs in intake design, cylinder head design, piston, cylinder and rod design, overall construction and engine management and successfully optimizes every facet of the classic air cooled flat six. We feel it is the ultimate compromise between a high revving , high horse-power Porsche racing engine and a torque rich, tractable and durable engine for the road.

Beautiful cars.

I'm surprised the meaning behind the name "Singer" doesn't come up in either of these videos. Granted I've never been mainstream in my musical tastes, but Catherine Wheel was a pretty cool band in my high school/college days.

The "Singer" in this case is Rob Dickinson - the man behind these cars
