I bought one with my first 911, lugs. Now I'm looking for the right mamba version for my CL. I have a second set of wheels, lift, rolling jack...the wrench completes me.

I only have one torque wrench. Used it two days ago when I pulled all four wheel spacers off my car and installed the stock lug bolts. That said, a nice new snap on torque wrench may fit in my Christmas stocking...

I am certain that this list has a much higher percentage of DIYers than the grouping of all 997 owners. I would bet that our cars a maintained better than average also.

I was helping a friend put his snow tires on his BMW X3. I am reasonably macho, he is very Macho. Both of us were leaning / standing on the 24 inch bar to get the wheel bolts off. Still no luck. I asked him if BMW was the last place to take off his wheels. He said yes. After 10 more minutes of bouncing. He remembered another shop had done the rear brakes. So clearly no torque wrench was used in that shop. Took a five foot bar to break those babies loose. A very reassuring exercise of why I change my own tires.

And I also have a 24" breaker bar.

Excellent idea! I thought I was the only one who was brilliant.

I tack welded the tuning pegs on my electric guitar. Now it never goes out of tune!

Peace
