Congradulations Jumper and Macster....had the car in the shop today..the service manager asked what was the issue was...I went to the video tape..he said it looked/ sounded like the throw out bearing/release bearing...I don't think they are the same thing..like I said I am clueless..


It is great to have people like you on the site...no one can always be right given the limited info you can get from conversation/pics, video/sound...but it is great to get "best guesses" based on the limited info.

I will keep you apprised as to the final diagnosis. FYI car has 37,000 miles on it, it is a daily driver.

Confirmed. the Release bearing was bad..so whole new clutch going in..$2700

 

I can tell you one thing…I feel privileged to be a part of this community and there's no one here that would hold back on any information they had if they thought they could help anyone else. That's been my experience since I joined.

Another observation…if I had 11 posts I wouldn't post anything like you've posted so far…unless of course I wanted to annoy some people.
