My 997.2 turbo s has the first dimpled plenum and y-pipe from IPD. Not only have they boosted performance measurably, but I'm getting 2mpg better at all speeds. Do not powder coat the aluminum. Keep the metal's pores open to increase surface area for better cooling. Drive on!

Porsche had to made a ton of mods to get 23hp on the 997.2 power kit including internals, and this little piece of metal alone gives 15hp!!!
Please!

there is a thread over on 6speed where someone with a stock 997tt finally gets just an IPD Plenum and goes straight to the dyno... he experienced a 35hp gain.

I have one and have put down around 400hp on the dyno but it's not my only mod so who knows.....

I'd be keen to see 'real-world' performance on a 997.2 PDK.

Unlike everything else I've owned in the past adding power to the Porsche seems difficult; it seems to be so well sorted from the factory.

It looks like theres only about 12-15hp gain from the dyno graphs on the ipd site.

There was a previous thread where AWE did some dynos for a customer who bought one, and it showed zero gain.

With all due respect i would not post 28hp increase for this part. It is expected to get better airflow from plenum and from bigger x51 or gt3 throttle assembly, put in dual intake airbox but one got to be realistic of what it all does. Those motors are already tuned well and to squeeze any more out of them takes some serious effort.
If you keep your stock cats i would not expect to see much improvement hp wise from any intake mods. Top HP is limited by airflow in top RPM range. But, part looks good, it definitely does not harm, on my car it helped to get more stable idle and smoother acceleration, so, i would say effect was positive but to claim 28hp increase on it alone would be silly.
Do 200 cell cats, proper ECU tune if you want to track it and do not care of problems to pass inspection and it may get you cumulative in 30 or so hp increase. But it will cost you quite some $.
