Default 2010 PDK with Sports Chrono but no launch control?

OK, I thought launch control was standard in 2010 for a PDK with sports chrono but I believe mine doesn't do it. My steering wheel does not have the top portion that shows the mode I am in and I've done launch control in other cars but this one seems to not go into launch mode. Does it not have it, even though it has chrono?

You must be in Sports Plus mode, once active the mode appears in the multi function display if you don't have the indicator on the steering wheel.

It does.. Read your manual. If you have PDK and SC, you have LC. You need to be in sports plus, brake, floor the throttle simultaneously. You'll then see LC. Revs will peg. Then release the brake and voila.

Ok, tried it again today and no go. It's not the S, just the base 911. I guess you answered my question Chris! Thanks.

Anyone know if it can be added in a software upgrade or something? I do like it and would like to have it.

My '09 with PDK and Sport Chrono has individual buttons on the console for both "Sport" and "Sport Plus".

I would assume that an '09 and a '10 would be the same. No "Sport Plus" button, no sport plus.

Yeah your Sport Plus button creates Launch Mode and your car will shift at highest RPM in every gear. Once coming home from the course I accudently put in Sport Plus and thought something was wrong with PDK even called the dealer to complain. (No Alcohol Involved)

My 2010 has Sports and Sports Plus, it just does not have launch control. I love driving in Sports Plus.

I have done launches before on many 997s. I was curious if I could have them activate the launch control portion.

If you have the Sport Plus Button you have Launch! Read your manual!

He said that this car is a base with sport chrono plus, and not an S. There is no launch control on the base model despite options. There is no "launch control active" light/indicator by the other sport chrono buttons if I am correct.

Yeah, I just don't think it has it. Chris, you seem to know the most about this, any chance it can be added? Thanks.

I havent heard of anyone doing this, but one would think it is a software and not hardware thing (except the indicator). And the only way to get a software tuning like this would is with a piwis (dealership). Most posts on this subject is is adding the entire system and that still requires a visit to a dealership for programming.
