Default IN SHOCK

I know I'm a dinisour and coming from a 964 to a 997 in many respects I am lost and in shock with the complexity of the 997. I'll learn with help.

The CD changer under the hood, does it take a cartridge?? Does it open HOW?

I have 2 keys a large one that can stab you if in your pocket and a small
black one I suppose to be kept in your wallet. I thought new owners got 2 large keys, right or wrong.

Thanks in advance for your help, John

another question, I try searching and get ZIP how to I revise my signature

First congrats on the new car. To answer your questions we need to know year and make. Is it a coupe or cab?

Keys: there should be two keys (remote) and one plastic one.
Back seat: if you have a cab are you talking about where the windscreen is attached?

On my 2oo6 C2 on the rear shelf there are two Child seat tether hooks slotted with carpet. To be honest, I have not noticed the UAS (Universal attachment System) on the base. But I think is was law in 2002, so they have to be there.
CD player in the frunk? I know the nav disk is up there. I have no noticed the CD box up there. Don't play CD's that much. I should load up an MP3 and see if it will play it.
I have two shiv keys. No plastic wallet key.

Clutch, gear shift, throttle, break pedal, steering wheel, class dismissed. In all seriousness, I had a good long drive (around 600 miles) back from where I bought it and got to know her good. I do not have cd changer, I guess that is where it would live. In the cab there is two black retaining holes for the wind deflector where you described. There is a bunch of knowledgeable people on this site who love to help, so keep the questions coming.

On the side wall in the back "rug rat seats", Is that for a shoulder harness?
Can it be removed and is there a plug to cover the hole?

Congrats!! As others have said, tell what you have - can't provide much help without that. Since you only got one key, maybe you didn't get an owner's manual either - if you did, everything you want to know is in there. If you didn't, you can download an e-version from a couple of sites.

The "CD Changer" under the bonnet I think you are referring to is the DVD player for the navigation system. It's on the back wall of the compartment.

If you have a CD Changer it's on the right hand side (looking toward the front of the car) and has a typical sliding top and takes a cartridge containing the discs.

I have a .2 and it came with two large keys but Porsche no longer supplied the valet key. I understand that the .1's came with three keys: two large and a valet.

My 08 Targa S did not come with a valet key, just the two primary keys.

Did Euro delivery, don't see how that should impact this.

Did the 964's have a manual? Seriously. I believe you can still download one on line if oem is missing. Good luck.
