I would pick a properly optioned GT3 RS (997) over any of the cars noted.

I will say GT3's do seem to hold their value a lot better than most Ferrari's, especially the RS.

Now, the cars you mentioned are quite different, and you must clarify how you wanna use the car, then can make a better decision.

I debated buying a Testarossa or 355 a few years ago but my friend (also a Rennlist member) suggested that the entry fee was mild in comparison to the maintenance cost of these cars. I've heard the 430's and later Ferrari's are more reasonable but with exception to the 458 I'm really not all that intrigued by them.

I'm a 911 guy, but a F car is on the bucket list.

Agree with the OP if money wasn't an issue. I'd probably go with a 430.
But the 997 or a used 991 is more in my purchasing budget and longterm maintenance budget.

Ferrari maintenance isn't cheap but it's much improved starting with F430's.
Not true vs. 458, it's ridiculous how amazing 458 is holding its value, it's just that amazing of a car. Besides you don't buy any of the above cars for keeping value.
Now, the cars you mentioned are quite different, and you must clarify how you wanna use the car, then can make a better decision.
The 458 is only holding its value bc it's the current model. Once the next one (dunno what it'll be) it'll drop down to f430 prices and f430 prices will be what 360's go for now.....
GT3RS do hold their value pretty well. And p-cars are much more friendly to own per mile. That doesn't hurt.
