I use WD40 to clean my stainless fridge, oven, out door grill and any other stainless surface. Works fantastic.
Have not tried on my cars yet, uhmmmmmm, but it won't be on the leather.

Wow. What a response ?! Love it. Positive and negative. Though it's mostly negative.
But I'll tell u all: it works. And I still periodically use dedicated leather conditioner (lexol).
And even my driver side bolsters are a beauty.
I expected a backlash. And ps. I watched a friend experiment on a lesser car first. I'm not insane

I am confused!
Most Porsche dealers would tell you to use a damp cloth (micro fiber or whatever) to clean your leather seats. The materials used in today's Porsche leather seats are not of years past where leather conditioners were important.
Check with your local Porsche detailer. I think applying leather conditioner on our 997 interiors is not needed unless you like the shine and slickness. And using WD40 is not appropriate for any leather.

Also do you have leather or the leatherette ( vinyl) that looks like leather? That makes a difference!

Sure the wd-40 works BUT it will dry out the seats in the long run. I have seen the same thing with some of the leather cleaners and conditioners that you buy at your local stores. The leather will look great as long as you keep appling the product, but once you stop using it and wait 2-3 months the leather will look dry, dull and worn.

No one is being "punked". Promise.
WD followed by Lexol. WD acts as a robust cleaner/polisher. Lexol as a conditioner.
Sounds crazy but it really works. Especially since it's high-traffic leather.
Attached are 2 pics. I know their only pics and it's hard to really appreciate it...but it's all I can do.
Bottom line: I figured Id reveal my approach. Should no one follow, no problem. Just sharing. I'm not drinking this stuff. ...yet! lol!

My dad used to put WD40 on the bottom of his sunfish when sailboat racing with his buddies in the good old days (60s & 70s)... He won a lot of races!
WD40 on leather? Well, that's a new one... Time will tell... Pics look nice though.
