I installed mine, not a quick install but not terrible either. Works fine, mostly. There are some bugs:

-I get the 'CD Changer not available' message when I power up. Everything works fine after dismissing the message. Eric at Bumperplugs thinks this is either my car having the telephony option on the car or that the DIP switches are misconfigured. I haven't had the time to open up the head unit again lately but I will shortly, it's annoying me.

-On occasion, I get 'looking for CD changer message' that never goes away until I power down the car (nope, Dension doesn't work during that time). Had this happen 3 or 4 times.

Can anyone provide some info on the following?

1) any problem with iPhones running iOS7 and connected via 30 pin cable?
2) when the iPhone is connected via 30pin cable, is the iPhone locked or can still be controlled on the touch screen?

Thanks in advance.

I wish so some would just build an adapter/interface to allow retrofitting a pcm3 unit in the older PCM 2.1 cars.

Haven't tried but someone else did (on another thread) and said no problems

The phone is not locked when you connect it.
