I should have known. Worked at my uncle's photo store like 20 years ago. He showed me bars of silver he got from melting down the film.

My wife said, "no silver cars!" owned too many of them in the past. The current color choices have every shade of grey that you want with few true colors to choose from.

BTW radar will catch a speed yellow car just as well as an atlas grey car speeding 20 over everyday, with the same efficiency. Gone are the days of the CHP having to tail you for one mile to determine your speed. Radar and the shade of a tree seem to be the enforcement of choice here.
