Default restarting issue 997.2S

Started having this issue with my 2009 997.2S PDK: If I turn the engine off, but dont take the key out (like at the full service gas station) when I try to restart the engine, nothing happens... I have to turn it all the way left, pull the key out, reinsert and start. It then starts with no issues... I noticed this twice now at the gas station and once at the tech line at my last DE...

Has anyone noticed anything like this?

thanks

This is normal behaviour - something to do with resetting the fuel system.

.1s work this way too. It's come up before here, I believe, when people have complained about the car not starting up after a stall. Alternator cable issue notwithstanding, some people simply weren't turning the key all the way left before trying to restart.

Having to turn all the way left is normal behavior, but you should not have to remove and re-insert the key prior to re-start.

Correct, you should not have to remove the key.
