Default Hood Crest

I was in Hershey for the swap meet on saturday and had the pleasure of meeting rennlist member Intrepidagent. I picked up a black hood crest for my black Pcar. Put it on yesterday and it looks incredible...

Quick note, I have not yet permanently attached, so I still have to play with the rubber gasket a little behind it to get it centered properly.

Looks great, I've been thinking about doing this but I liked the OEM one as well.

Jon:
Here's a tip for getting the gasket to fit properly around your new crest. Boil a pint of water in a small saucepan. When it comes to a boil remove it from the burner and let it sit for 10 minutes. Drop the gasket into the hot water and let it sit for about 5 minutes. Take it out and stretch it over the new crest. It's intentionally made a bit small so it does require some stretching to fit it properly. If you ever played a sport that required fitting a mouthguard then it is a very similar procedure.

Best Regards: Jim

I was just about to start typing this.

On my old, old 944 the crest was stolen twice so I got plenty of practice with this.

I have a new badge to fit and can't get behind to attach to fasteners. Is there an easy way to do this? Thanks
